Guided Career Conversation | The Arbor Primus

When your next move feels hard to phrase, a short guided conversation can turn the direction, evidence, and question in your head into one useful brief.

What is a guided career conversation?

It is a short, structured reflection for the moment when you know something needs to change, but the next conversation is still difficult to frame. The flow asks what you want to be able to say, what you have already done that supports it, what kind of progress would help, and what the smallest useful next move could be.

Four grounded prompts, one useful brief

The conversation keeps the work close to information you choose to supply. Your answer can describe a role, interview, mentor conversation, career change, project, class, caregiving experience, volunteer role, or capability you are still developing.

  • Name the direction or conversation you want to feel more ready for.
  • Point to an experience, responsibility, project, or capability that supports it.
  • Choose whether to deepen a strength, translate experience, explore a new direction, or prepare for a real conversation.
  • Pick one next move: build context, shape a resume, rehearse, compare a path, review sharing, or bring a bounded brief to ChatGPT.

What you leave with

A completed conversation produces a private brief with your direction, what you can point to, your focus, and a next move. It also drafts a conversation starter in your words that you can review, edit, copy, or carry into the next Arbor workspace.

  • Copy a short conversation starter or the full brief.
  • Continue into Resume, Interview Rehearsal, Job Lens, or ChatGPT Handoff with the context you chose.
  • Save the work in a free account when you want to return across devices.
  • Keep the conversation local in the current browser when you are not ready to sign in.

Private reflection, not a verdict

The guided conversation uses product logic based on what you enter. It does not verify claims, rank you, score employability, decide your future, or guarantee an interview or hiring outcome. Review and change every output until it sounds accurate and like you.

Start before your Arbor is complete

You can begin the conversation with an empty or partial Arbor. When capabilities and records already exist, the flow can show them as optional context to review. The free Professional Build remains yours, and sharing stays under your control.

A CLEAR PLACE TO BEGIN

Start with one real thing.

You can add context over time. Your account and Build stay private until you choose to share.
